Simon, the founder of The One Decor, began his career in the construction industry as early as the 1980s, gaining valuable experience and insights over the years. In 2010, he partnered with his child, Alex, to establish The One Decor, combining their expertise to launch the company.
At its inception, The One Decor was a small-scale business primarily focused on delivering top-notch design and renovation services. Despite its modest beginnings, the company was committed to ensuring that every project was completed within the agreed timeline and budget, consistently maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
In the following years, Alex played a key role in expanding the business, not only growing its scale but also broadening the range of services offered, which allowed the company to cater to a more diverse clientele and meet the evolving demands of the market.

OUR JOURNEY
1980‘s
Simon Terng, the founder of the company, initially started as a humble contractor, sustaining the daily operations by taking on various small construction contracts.
1990‘s
He gradually started securing government construction contracts, which included a variety of projects such as roadworks and low-rise building developments. These contracts marked a significant step in expanding his business operations, allowing him to grow his expertise and reputation in the construction industry.
2010's
Incorporated in the year 2010, Simon, together with Alex, founded The One Decor Enterprise. Their goal was to create a company that offers a comprehensive, one-stop solution for renovation and interior design services. By combining their expertise, they aimed to provide clients with a seamless experience, from design planning to the completion of projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail at every stage.
2011's
Growth and Expension, The One Decor set up an ironworks factory and later established a cabinet factory. These new ventures allowed the company to increase its production capabilities and offer more specialized services to meet the diverse needs of its clients.
2015's
Strength to Strength: The company has successfully completed a multitude of construction projects, with a particular focus on the building and construction sector. It has played a significant role in helping renowned brands with their construction and renovation needs. Notable projects include the Pavilion Mall, a prominent shopping destination, and the Restaurant Extra Super Tanker project, both of which showcase the company's commitment to excellence and quality in the industry.
2020's
Now & Future: The company established The One Decor Sdn Bhd in 2024, marking a significant milestone in its growth. Among its achievements is the successful completion of a resort project, which highlights its capabilities in delivering large-scale developments. Currently, the business distribution is strategically divided, with 70% of operations focused on construction and 30% dedicated to providing one-stop renovation services, positioning the company for future growth and diversification in the industry
